Viking Pumps supply a continuous and consistent flow rate of ink to high-speed processes. This includes Flexographic and gravure printing - typically used for long runs or large orders in the packaging and labeling industries. It also includes large offset printing operations such as newspapers.

Viking Pumps are also used to move the bulk raw ingredients for ink manufacturing such as resins, oils, carriers, and additives. Inks contain abrasive pigments. The specific pigment varies by color, but examples include titanium dioxide, iron oxide, and carbon black.

Cast iron construction is normally satisfactory for most inks, however some water-based inks may require stainless steel.
