The Howden Roots Whispair rotary positive gas pumps are heavy-duty units for continuous service. The design reduces noise, pulsation, and horsepower levels over other conventional gas pumps.
Benefits include:
- Lower Gas Pulsation- Operate with up to 50% less pressure pulsation than conventional gas pumps due to the pressure-equalizing effect.
- Longer Bearing Life- The ore-pressurization of the low-pressure pocket through the jet smooths the pulsations and results in less shock being transmitted through the impellers, to the bearing, which results in approximately 20% longer bearing life
- Lower Vibration- Reduction in the magnitude of the pulsation results in smoother operation
- Lower Noise- The control of the backflow of gas reduces noise by approximately 5dBA.
- Horsepower- Gas jet imparts energy to the impeller, aiding rotation and reducing the power required to operate the gas pump
